The Ministry of Housinge

It's been one week since you looked at me
Dropped your arms to your sides and said 'I'm sorry'
Five days since I laughed at you and said
'You just did just what I thought you were gonna do'
That's right, folks...today is day 7 of the new house experience. It's sort of like the "Jimi Hendrix Experience", but without all the drugs...
I really do like the house. I think everyone does. We've been riding bikes around the block and such. We just bought Heather a bike, and we got one of those trailers that hooks on to pull the kids. This is getting interesting...
We should get our gas range next Tuesday, and Heather's brother is supposed to bring the table and chairs next Thursday. We still have a bunch of junk at the old house, which we need to go get. Who knows where that stuff is gonna go. I'm thinking there may be a garage sale involved soon.
Our phone lines and broadband should get installed today, if everything goes well. I have wireless working at home on a temporary basis, but a wireless antenna on a shepherd's hook ain't gonna last forever. I might find a more permenant home for the antenna and have some dueling-broadband fun. Who knows?
This weekend, I hope to get the vine removed from behind the garage, and get the front door framed on the outside. The siding that was put on by the previous owner poses some interesting problems, but I think I can solve those issues, and perhaps make it look rather nice in the process. We shall see.
Work beckons. Sunshine, rainbows and lollipops, people.
Three days since the living room
We realized we're both to blame , but what could we do?
Yesterday you just smiled at me
Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry...
